Gregor is a 11 years old boy and have a sister named Margaret or as they call her Boots who's father just disappeared one day, they called Margaret Boots because she always take people's boots. They discovered the Underland when they were in the laundry room in the metal grate. The Underland had no sun, so it's dark under there, and now they have to find their way out of there or else they will die because they need a light to stay alive, but first they have to defeat the spinner/spiders and the rats and find Gregor's dad. The Underland is filled with creepy/scary creature like giant cockroaches, giant rats, giant spiders and giant bats that creatures ride on, the giant bats are like vehicle of the creatures of the underland, the giant spiders and the giant rats are the enemy, and the giant cockroachess are the friends of Gregor, and the others.
I think the book is really great because you can imagine what's happening. The genre of the book is fantasy. I recommend this book for 10 and up years old.
